The Weekly Call for June 15th

Welcome to this week’s edition of The Weekly Call, your trusted source for high-quality commodity setups and trading strategies. Since October 2016, our approach has delivered an impressive 777% return, and we continue to share the insights and methodologies that drive these results with this post #454. This week, we’ll explore the latest market trends, actionable trade setups, and global economic factors influencing commodities like sugar, coffee, live cattle, and gold.

U.S. Markets

  • S&P 500 (SPY): Closed near 597.0, slightly down after consolidating from recent highs.

  • Nasdaq Composite (QQQ): Around 527.0, pulling back after extended gains.

  • Dow Jones Industrial Average (DIA): Roughly 422.8, holding steady as industrials and financials stabilize.

Global Markets

  • FTSE 100 (UK): Strengthened midweek as safe-haven demand and equity reassessments supported it.

  • DAX (Germany): Traded modestly lower on weaker regional sentiment.

  • Nikkei 225 (Japan): Climbed on yen weakness and export strength.

  • Shanghai Composite (China): Slipped amid cautious domestic economic outlook.

Commodities

  • Gold: ~$3,433/oz, surged on Middle East tensions.

  • Silver: ~$36.37/oz, steady with gold-led safe-haven flows.

  • Copper: ~$4.81/lb, unchanged amid steady infrastructure demand.

  • Crude Oil (WTI): ~$77.6/barrel, up over 10% following Israeli strikes on Iran.

  • Natural Gas (Henry Hub): ~$3.00/MMBtu, stable seasonal demand.

Cryptocurrency Market

  • Bitcoin (BTC): ~$105,271, consolidating after earlier weakness.

  • Ethereum (ETH): ~$2,535, steady ahead of the Cancun‑Deneb upgrade.

  • Solana (SOL): ~$152.2, maintaining position amid DeFi optimism.

  • Dogecoin (DOGE): ~$0.1736, low volatility as retail interest stabilizes.

Key Market Drivers

  • Geopolitical Tensions: Israeli strikes on Iran triggered oil (+10‑11%) and gold rallies, while equities paused on global risk-off sentiment.

  • OPEC+ Production Plans: Despite geopolitical risk premium, OPEC+ reaffirmed output increases—capping oil’s upside.

  • Safe-Haven Demand: Both gold and silver surged as investors sought refuge amid instability.

  • Crypto Resilience: Major cryptocurrencies held firm despite broader market swings—boosted by institutional flows and upgrade anticipation.

Emerging Crypto Projects to Watch

  • LayerEdge (EDGEN): Bitcoin-backed token heading for Binance listing with staking incentives.

  • XYZVerse (XYZ): Sports-oriented meme token gaining momentum through community campaigns.

  • Unilabs (UNIL): Transitioning from meme coin to utility-focused asset with real-world integration.

Outlook for the Week Ahead

  • U.S. CPI & Fed Minutes: Expected to shape bond yields and equity risk appetite.

  • Housing Data Releases: New and pending home sales could signal consumer health under current rates.

  • Ethereum Cancun‑Deneb Upgrade: Confirmation of deployment expected—potential driver for ETH and L2 tokens.

  • Geopolitical Watch: Ongoing developments in the Middle East may continue to influence oil, gold, and risk markets.
